Coudy started out with possession in the first half. After Alex Furman led the Falcons on a drive that took up much of the first quarter, Caden Whitman pounded over the goal line from 2 yards out. This drive consisted of 14 plays and took 7:14.
In the second quarter, points came much more quickly for the Falcons. On Coudy's second possession, Tim McCusker hooked up with Mitch Freeman on a nice 33 yard pass. Freeman was caught by a Gator defender on the 2 yard line. Caden Whitman drove in from the two yard line to cap off the drive and McCusker added 2 points keeping it himself and running it in. After a mishandled kick that pinned the Gators in their own end, the Coudy defense swarmed Port Allegany's quarterback sacking him in the end zone for a safety. This led to good field position following the Gator kickoff. The Falcons took full advantage of this with a 20 yard touchdown pass from Tim McCusker to Alex Furman. With nothing going on the ground for the Gators, they took to the air. The stingy Coudy defense did its job as Caden Whitman intercepted a Gator pass and returned it 50 yards for a touch down. The Falcons converted the 2 point play with a pass from Tim McCusker to Mitch Freeman.
In the fourth quarter, the Falcons found the end zone once again on a 3 yard scamper by Frankie DeLung. The two point play failed. On the following kickoff, the Gators returned it all the way for a score. The extra point kick was good.
The Coudersport Falcons Junior High football team is undefeated with a 6-0 record. They will be facing Otto Eldred October 16, at 6:00 p.m. The game will be held at the newly dedicated Paul Simcoe field and will be their final game of the season.
