The Falcons got back on track last Friday night and pushed their record to 4-2 overall with a convincing 30-0 win over the visiting Smethport Hubbers. Senior Tim Thomas got things started in the first quarter with a 40 yard TD run and Sophomore Copper Bonczar connected on the point after try to make the score 7-0 Falcons. Coudy then used a big second quarter scoring three touchdowns to break the game wide open.
Thomas scored again on a two yard plunge and Bonczar split the uprights to increase the lead to 14-0. Next Brett Whitman hooked up with Nate Minor on a 3 yard TD pass and with the extra point blocked, the Falcon sat at a comfortable 20-0 lead. Eric Babcock closed out the second quarter scoring with a 4 yard run that found the end zone. Boncazar connected on the point after to make the score 27-0 as the first half came to a close.
The only scoring in the second half came on the leg of Cooper Bonczar when he booted a 32 yard field goal in the third quarter to make it 30-0 Falcons and close out the scoring for the night and hand the Hubs their 6th consecutive loss of the season.
On offense, Tim Thomas lead all rushers with 94 yards on 15 carries and 2 TD's, Eric Babcock picked up 128 yards passing with one rushing TD and Bret Whitman had a great all round night with 98 yards receiving, 39 yards rushing and 45 yards passing one passing TD. Defensively Whitman lead the way for the Falcons with 8 tackles, while Tony Capatch tallied 4.
The Falcons are at home again this Friday night for Homecoming when they take on the Otto Eldred Terrors. Game time is set for 7:00 pm.
