COACH SIMCOE

To Be Inducted Into The PSFCA Hall Of Fame

It's official! Our long time Head Coach, Paul Simcoe is being inducted into the Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame. His final record of 204-78-8 makes him the only Head Coach in District IX history to win over 200 games.

There will be a ceremony in Hershey in conjunction with the PA - Ohio Big 33 Football Classic. It begins at 10:00 AM Friday, June 13, 2008 when the official ceremony takes place at the Hershey Hotel and Lodge. This year's HOF inductee's will then be honored during halftime of the Big 33 Football Classic Saturday June 14. Coach Simcoe joins 6 other coaches in this years induction class. This brings the total number of Coaches inducted since 1986 to 235.

Coach Simcoe "would like to thank all of his loyal and hard working assistant coaches, great committed players, friends, fans, fellow teachers, school staff and administration who helped make this award possible. He dedicates this award to his family, his wife Pam of 30 years, his daughters Erica & Brenna, and his son Ross. He recognizes that without their sacrifice, support, and encouragement this award would not be possible. Finally, he wouild like to thank the Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association, the Big 33 and all those resposponsible for this honor."

As a former player and assistant coach for Coach Simcoe, I know I speak for all the players and coaches you've had throughout your 29 years, CONGRATULATIONS COACH, this is well deserved! We'll miss you.

Anyone interested in attending the game can look for ticket information at the Big 33 web site.
